Dentons ranked #1 patent prosecution firm in the US

Juristat ranked Dentons number one on its 2017 list of the top 100 patent prosecution law firms, a jump from 16th place last year. Juristat, which analyzes and reports on the US patent system, based its rankings on four criteria: number of applications filed, allowance rate, time to allowance and average number of office actions before allowance.

The Juristat ranking of the best patent firms is the only one that considers both volume and performance. The metrics are measured from July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015. A firm must have filed a minimum of 200 applications during that time.

In partnership with Thomson-Reuters, Juristat is a St. Louis, Mo., technology company that uses a proprietary algorithm to comb publicly available data to profile patent examiners.

Dentons’ US patent prosecution team is part of a full-service Intellectual Property and Technology practice group that represents clients in all areas of intellectual property law, including patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, licensing, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
